Costa Adeje has a vibrant gastronomy scene which caters to a wide variety of tastes. To eat like a local, opt for the classic carne con papas, a tapas dish of meat with potatoes. Vieja is also particularly popular with locals. It's parrotfish that is typically grilles and served with mojo verde, a citrusy, garlic sauce. Cherne (or grouper) is also good, as it's a meaty fish fillet served with papas arrugadas (wrinkled potatoes).
